Mid-town Area
All but one of the houses where potluck is put on are in the mid-town area, near Alumni Quad. We work it on a rotating host basis which is listed below with dates they will occur. If these locations change an alert will be sent out via the listserv, Facebook, and so on.

Hola amigos verdes!

  Our meeting this week was held outdoors on the untamed, concrete wilds of the 
podium..mostly b/c an evil sorority usurped our usual room.  Stupid girls and their
stupid 
club things.  

Moderately-Aged Business:

Climate Change Agreement!-  Apparently, the interim president George Philip has
verbally 
agreed to signing the climate change pact that Peter LaVenia and the 'climate change 
group' have been advocating.  This is great news as we are presently the only SUNY 
university center in NY which has not yet adopted the pact.  Let's hope he follows
through 
and signs!

Feast for Famine-  As some of you may already know, the Hunger Action Network will be 
holding a Feast for Famine event at the Egg on Wednesday, May 14th.  The profits from 
this food and beverage tasting will be used to help out local food

Happy Green Week! New Business GrnWk- "we're having it!" yes, yes we are. So far, our events have gone downrather successfully! Monday's 'On the Rag' forum held by Marwin was very interesting/informative. Everyone who attended seemed determined to change their disposable-using ways! hooray! The potting party on Tuesday was also a lot of fun, according to Anna, and little seeds were given new homes! On Wednesday, everyone was clamoring to try Marwin and Res' vegan baked goods. We raised about 25-30 dollars in donations! yays. Tonight, Thursday, a founding member of FoodnotBombs will be speaking in Hum. 132 at 7:30. EVERYONE GO!Partay- There will be another 'Green House' party this Saturday night, Apr.19th10:00 at 10 South Lake. It will be 5$ to drink, IF you're of age ;) Stop on by for a rabblerousin' good time.May day- The Make-your-own protest will be going on May 1st, beginning around 11 am at the small fountain. Everyone attending is encouraged

Happy Green Week!  

New Business
      GrnWk- "we're having it!"  yes, yes we are.  So far, our events have gone down

The ever-baking Marwin will put down her mixing bowl to come to campus to talk about periods and the ways in which it can be done with as little waste as possible.
Humanities 116, 7-9 PM, PRIZES will be given.
Tuesday 4/15: Flower Potting Party
The crazy math-art major Ana will be hosting a flower plating shindig at her house on this day. Packets of seeds, planters, and tools will be provided all you need to do is come and dig in the dirt to get some free flowers to brighten up your dorm or apartment.

          Newslett-  The newsletter, titled Green Leaves, was a great success!  It
not only 
contains riveting and informative pieces by internationally renowned journalists
such as 
Caroline Margolies, but is also aesthetically pleasing!  Great job putting it all
together 
Leefrances, and thank you to everyone who contributed material.  We now have an 
easy/fun way to spread the green word.
